Utah Based Scholarships
  • National Merit Scholarship An academic competition for recognition and scholarships. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®)–a test which serves as an initial screen.
    New Century Scholarship**This scholarship encourages students to accelerate their education by earning an Associate’s degree in high school from an institution within the Utah System of Higher Education. Thescholarship may be used at a 4-year public college or university within the Utah System of Higher Education, as well as at Brigham Young University and Westminster College.

    New Century Planning MeetingThe Associate Degree and New Century Scholarship Planning meeting gives students the tools to understand how to select college credit courses that will assist them toward their associate degree, explains the associate degree requirements, and explains the requirements of the New Century Scholarship. The meeting will also walk students through how to plan out the Associate Degree in General Studies. Once the student has attended this meeting they may then set up an individual appointment with a Concurrent Enrollment advisor, if they choose. Advisors can assist them in course selection and creating and adjusting their associate degree plan based on what courses are offered at their high school.
    Regents’ Scholarhip**The Regent’s Scholarship encourages Utah high school students to prepare for college academically and financially by taking a core course of study and saving for college. The scholarship may be used at any public college or university in the Utah System of Higher Education, as well as at Brigham Young University, LDS Business College, and Westminster College. 2011-2012 Regents’ Scholarship Program Information (NEW
    Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship Program Byrd scholarship program is a national plan to offer a $1,500 scholarship to students with excellent academic skills in high school, and who demonstrate the possibility for continued educational success in college.

    Utah Scholarship Guide - Utah Scholarship Guide was created by a group of recently graduated Utah high school seniors.
    Western Undergraduate ExchangeStudents who are residents of WICHE states are eligible to request a reduced tuition rate of 150% of resident tuition at participating two- and four-year college programs outside of their home state.WICHE states include: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming.
