Class Change Procedures
General Guidelines
- Class changes may be determined by the administration for confidential reasons without the input of counselors or teachers.
- Class changes are NOT made to accommodate lunch and friends
Quarter/Semester Class Change Requests
Parent Request Team Change
- If a class change is still requested by the parent, a meeting will be scheduled with the parent, student, counselor and Assistant Principal to discuss the class change request, effectiveness of classroom interventions, student responsibility and scheduling. At the Assistant Principal’s discretion, the teacher(s) may be asked to join the meeting.
- Parents will bet notified as to whether or not the class change is approved or denied.
- Teachers will be notified of schedule changes as it affects their classroom instruction.
